Study on the Go- Mobile Learning with Blackboard and StudyMate Class

The Office of Distance Education is pleased to announce that students can now study on the go with one of two free mobile solutions for StudyMate Class. StudyMate Class, fully integrated with Blackboard, allows instructors and students to create a variety of learning activities, such as flash cards, challenge games, and crossword puzzles, to enhance student learning of important course concepts.

iPhone App: The free “StudyMate LMS Edition” app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. This app allows students to synchronize with StudyMate Class projects from their online courses and work with learning activities offline.

Mobile Browser:  StudyMate Class can also be used on mobile devices, such as the iPhone, iPod touch, BlackBerry, Palm Pre, Android, and more. Using the device’s browser, log into your Blackboard course and navigate to the StudyMate Class project. The type of device will be detected and all learning activities will be displayed in the proper size and format for that device.
